BULK Space Artist Residency (2021)

BULK SPACE Artist Residency (BSAR) was created specifically for artists and curators based in the city limits of
Detroit, Highland Park, and Hamtramck.

We selected four residents for a virtual, six week residency that took place from May 17th - June 27th, 2021.

The BULK Space Virtual Artist Residency included:

• Virtual studio visits with each BULK member
• Virtual Studio visits with a guest curator
• One zine or small book published by BULK Space
• Artist Honorarium of $1000
• A programming event (performance, workshop, etc.) with the support of BULK Space.

Ideation Residency (2022)

The Ideation Residency was a self guided program open to marginalized artists and writers from around the world to spend time ideating on specific projects related to their creative practice.

Residents were provided a private room and a shared two-person work space, sun room and kitchen to dive deeply into their creativity. Residencies took place between 1-3 months beginning May 2022.
