We are so excited to be joining forces with Riverwise Magazine Managing Editor, Megan Douglass to host a 4 week workshop where participants will have the opportunity to craft narratives of social justice.
Zines, pamphlets, and short educational booklets have long been a key part of grassroots organizing. Designed to break critical information into digestible and impactful bites, practicing zine production is a great way to learn how to blend creativity and culture with concise and meaningful messages about ourselves, our goals, and key issues facing our communities.
This four part workshop is aimed at developing our skills at creating authentic narratives, centering our purpose and understanding more about how we build messaging frameworks which result in trusting, organic and sustainable movement relationships. Through dedicated lessons and exercises you'll learn more about creating strong narratives which lead to culture shift; how relational storytelling can help others understand your who, what and why; practice crafting messaging that can connect individual experiences with broader societal systems and global issues, all while learning the ins and outs of DIY Risograph printing.
